Help us in our ECO almond and olive farm and live off-grid
The experience
Experience off-grid living and work in nature. Demanding but satisfying. Healthy food and a comfortable cottage all for you.
The work will, or could, include cutting, splitting and stacking wood, taking care of the chicken, removing stones from the fields, rebuilding dry stone walls, pruning olive or almond trees, planting trees, and other maintenance tasks and could involve using a hoe, a pickaxe, a shovel, a weed trimmer or other farm tools.

Activities & Shift
- We cook and have breakfast with you, and any other volunteers if there are, at 8 and lunch at 14:30.
- Working hours are from 9 to 14:00.
- Weekday dinners and all weekend meals are on your own at your cottage. We will provide you with food for these meals.
Rules
- We provide pasta, brown rice, legumes, potatoes, onions, garlic, vegetables, tomato sauce, coffee or tea, bread, our own extra virgin olive oil, oat milk, homemade jam, bottled water and some seasonal fruit. If you fancy any other food you can get it at the supermarkets nearby.
- We ask that you always wear your own working clothes for work. You must bring and wear your own water proof boots or shoes. Also use the working gloves we provide you with.
- We ask you to not wear working clothes inside the cottage and not wear street or working shoes inside the cottage. We will provide you with slippers for use inside the cottage (but not outside).
- Please no smoking, no alcohol and no drugs.
- We provide you with a special WC toilet paper for septic tanks. We ask you to not throw anything else other that toilet paper in the toilet. We flush the toilet with a bucket of water since it does not require electric power.
- One short shower (“30 seconds”) every now and then between 15:45 and 16:30 while, and if and only if, the sun is shining. If not, we ask you to please postpone it to a later day. Water is limited and the power of the water pump is very power consuming so we need to use it with sunshine.
- Use electric power very sparingly since you are off-grid and the battery capacity is limited. We ask you to not leave lights on when not necessary. These are some of the limitations of living off-grid.
