Old country farm in the heart of Ireland's farmlands.
The experience
We are a working farm with sheep and horses, as well as an outdoor pursuit and adventure centre near Kells in Co. Meath.
During your time here, you will have plenty of opportunities to learn about practical sheep and horse care. In your free time we can help teach you archery, clay pigeon shooting or take you horse riding.
We are are on the look out for one or two people at a time to assist with the farm work primarily.
What you offer
30 hours of help per week
Cleaning:
Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.
Kitchen Hand:
Help prepare, finish and serve meals.
Animal Care:
Help look after and take care of animals.
Building & Repairing:
Help with a wide range of repairs or building.
What you get
2 days off per week
Private Room:
You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.
Breakfast:
You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.
Lunch:
You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.
Dinner:
You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.
Free Laundry:
You can use our laundry room freely.
Pick Up:
We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.
Language lessons:
Take free language classes at our place.
Use our equipped kitchen:
Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.
Basic Internet Access:
Basic speed internet for you to work remotely

Program Details
You get to stay in the 18th century main house and become a part of the rich life of this countryside home. You will be a bit of a jack of all trades helping out with a little bit of everything around.
Mr. Garvey runs the house and its grounds primarily on his own and the volunteers would assisting with his general duties in the farm and around the house.
Activities & Shift
Assisting with the archery, clay pigeon shooting, horse riding, housekeeping and sheep care.
Rules
If you are a volunteer here at the farm you would be expected to actively be available to help with matters that arise from time to time once on site.
