My experience in Ek Balam was amazing. I stayed in a magical cabin in the jungle, right next to a pyramid, and the energy of the place is unforgettable. Arturo is a wonderful person with a huge heart. He's very generous, intelligent, and loves sharing stories. I learned so much from him, and practicing yoga together made the experience even richer. I felt welcomed, safe, and inspired. It was more than a volunteer exchange, it was truly transformative. Highly recommend. I hope to return someday.

An absolutely incredible experience! Arturo is an amazing host. While we worked the evenings on the tech side, Arturo made sure, on my times off, to promote my curiosity to engage with the Maya community & even get me involved with learning how he lives sustainably with the land. Being able to visit the archeological site daily & engaging in some fun conversations with the local kids will always be my best memories. In the end we found a way to mix social media with the elements of yoga, sustainable living, & the history of Ek Balam in special ways such as that awesome logo. Gracias, Arturo!

Cabañas the Center truly is a magical place, and Arturo is an absolutely wonderful host! I had such a beautiful time here. As a solo female traveller, I wouldn't normally have chosen a place with just me and one man, but we had a video call beforehand and Arturo had such a great energy, which continued throughout my stay. The cabaña is pure luxury compared to other volunteer places. I was helping Arturo clean up the gardens and create a vegetable patch - the work was exactly as agreed, communicated well, and the land is so beautiful. I learnt so much and loved every moment! Gracias por todo :)

Im happy to know that you enjoyed your time volunteering here ar La Cabaña Mágica. I really appreciate your help and your hard work; I know there were some tasks that required some extra effort from you so I'm thankful you went along with the work.
I hope you'll come back one day in the future and enjoy the fruits from the trees we fertilized together: mangoes, avocados, oranges, grapefruits, bananas and coconuts! :)
