The experience

We’re looking for a helpful and detail-oriented volunteer to assist with housekeeping at Mute Milfontes. Tasks include cleaning rooms, organizing common areas, and keeping the space welcoming. Enjoy working in a peaceful atmosphere with stunning views of nature and the ocean all around you!

What you offer

32 hours of help per week

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

Housekeeping: Help with changing the bed linens and general housekeeping.

What you get

2 days off per week

Team Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Discounts on Restaurants: Get discounts at nearby restaurants.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Free Hiking Tours: We’ll take you on excursions and hikes around town. For free!

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Basic Internet Access: Basic speed internet for you to work remotely

Fluent English or Intermediate Portuguese

Between 20 and 40 years old

Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or partners)

Program Details

We’re looking for a dedicated volunteer to help us keep our space clean, cozy, and welcoming. Tasks include cleaning rooms and bathrooms, changing bed linens, tidying up common areas, and making sure all spaces are well-maintained and organized. If you enjoy creating a neat and comfortable environment, we’d love to welcome you!

Rules

We attach great importance to CUSTOMER satisfaction.

We do not tolerate disrespect for hostel rules, customers, and colleagues!

Failure to comply could lead to expulsion from the hostel!

At the hostel:

- No alcoholic beverages during the shift

- Respect colleagues and the orders from the hostel crew;

- Hours of service - Be punctual and a uniform is mandatory.

- On days off, wear presentable clothes, you are free to roam around and make new friends and connect with anyone
