Volunteering with YZ was incredible, he's a really cool person, and he always helped me a lot!! We created videos, and he taught me a bit about Chinese culture and Tai Chi!! He helped me find cheap prices for food and shopping in China, how to use Chinese apps, and how to use public transportation. He even helped me find a better route to the Great Wall. He was always attentive and willing to help!! I felt at home here, and I would definitely come back to have this experience again!! YZ is really cool!! I learned so much from him!! Oh, and he suggested several things to do in Beijing.

In this volunteer program, YZ was very patient and kind — I even learned a bit of Chinese with him. All the activities were quite simple, and he explained everything very clearly. Without a doubt, it's the best option if you want to explore the city and work with an amazing person!

Creating content with YZ this week has been so much fun, he is so lovely and friendly and has shown me some really cool local things to film while I've been in Beijing. He is such a great host and has gone above and beyond to make sure that my stay here has been one to remember for the rest of my life. I would highly recommend to anyone that wants to see a local side of Beijing that goes beyond the usual touristic things but a genuine immersion of how amazing life here in China is. I am going to miss him and my stay here in Beijing so much when I leave and I wish I could stay here forever.

Staying at YZ was an incredible experience! I don't speak Chinese and he helped me feel at the home Beijing. He picked me up at the airport late at night, took me to the bank, helped me create Alipay, WeChat, and a SIM card, and patiently taught me how to use local apps and taxis. He cooked delicious homemade Chinese dishes and helped me visit nearby Benijing places, also booking me a shared taxi to the Great Wall and the Forbidden City and this allowed me to save money on the trip. It was a pleasure to help him organize his things! He was very kind and hospitable...I would love to go back one

I spent a month at the home with a great experience. He was very welcoming, making me feel at home. My tasks involved organizing and tidying, giving a valuable window into daily Chinese life. While working, I often chatted with YZ—he was open to Q&A. Our conversations helped me practice Mandarin and learn local culture; he patiently corrected my pronunciation and shared cultural insights. YZ is easygoing. Having studied abroad, he speaks good English and understands cultural differences, making communication smooth and stay very comfortable. I highly recommend this project.
