The experience

This job entails housekeeping, cat care and possible social media and depending on the time of the year renting out VW campervans.
Everyday there is something different and you can make this hugely interesting depending on your own motivation.

What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

Key Responsibilities:
Ensuring the cleanliness and upkeep of two private rooms and a studio, primarily housekeeping.
Overseeing the day-to-day operations of vacation rentals
Managing bookings, guest communication, and customer service with a focus on creating excellent experiences
Driving and maintaining the VW Westfalia campervans, ensuring they are ready for rental. Depending on the time of year as these are seasonal.

Occasional Responsibilities:
On site at our property are the vacation rentals, VW rentals as well as a cattery.
Caring for the cats in the cattery, ensuring their health and well-being.
Managing social media accounts to promote the business and interact with guests.
Requirements:
Must be independent, detail-oriented, and able to work flexible hours
Non-smoker with a healthy lifestyle
Ability to drive a manual (standard) transmission vehicle and have a valid driver’s license will really help.
Experience in gardening, housekeeping, and animal care, especially with cats, is preferred.
Familiar with social media platforms for business use.





Activities & Shift

This is a super fun and active place to be. The work is easy and there is always lots of time left in the day to explore the city and surrounding area. Tons of great hiking and biking and so many festivals to enjoy.

Each day starts with feeding cats and cleaning their catios. That takes usually anywhere from 10 minutes to 30 minutes.

Then it is time to wait for guests to leave . Check out is 11am yet a lot leave earlier so you get an early start on the day. There are only two rooms and a studio to clean and some days all three need to be cleaned and some days one or two or none..

Daily chores are cleaning of communal bathrooms and kitchen.
I have done this job for years by myself and so for two people this will be fairly easy.

The 3 campervans need to be cleaned after each rental.
Bonus is you can use a campervan on your days off to go explore the island.

Each day is different as some days the garden will need to be watered and a van rental sent out and kittens to be cared for etc.
You make your hours your own as there really are no set hours or days off and it is up to you to request the time off and I will cover for you.
Learning to be spontaneous and flexible is really important as with managing any job there are always surprises.

Most days start between 7am and 8am as the cats get fed no later than 8am. All turnovers of the rooms have to be completed no later than 3pm as that is check in time.

The vans take about 2 hours to clean and be prepared for next renters.

Cats and kittens love to be snuggled and socialized and you may be required to help with birthing.

Having the ability to work with social media helps as it is important to take pictures of the kittens and parents so they can be posted on the website and facebook page.

Rules

There is no smoking on the property and no late night partying or noise as this is a very peaceful place for all of the guests.
