The experience

Welcome to Carpe Diem!
We’re Christine and Antoine — a French & Polish couple (63 and 72 years old) living our dream in the beautiful region of Lauragais, just 35 minutes from Toulouse and 25 minutes from Castres or the charming Canal du Midi 🚲🌞
Our home is a lovingly restored centuries-old farmhouse surrounded by 3 hectares of organic land, fruit trees, gardens, and calm countryside views.

What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Painting & Decorating: Help with painting or decorating the property facilities.

Building & Repairing: Help with a wide range of repairs or building.

Gardening: Help grow plants and cultivate gardens

What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Get free drinks or beverages.: Drink up! Get free and tasty drinks for yourself.

Free Parties: Get free entrance for the best parties in town.

Bikes at your disposal: You can use our bikes any time you want.

Language lessons: Take free language classes at our place.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Basic Internet Access: Basic speed internet for you to work remotely

Activities & Shift

👨‍🌾 What We Need Help With
We’re looking for volunteers to join us in caring for the outdoors and garden. Tasks may include:
Maintaining our organic vegetable garden
Looking after fruit trees and orchard 🌳
General outdoor work (weeding, pruning, planting, etc.)
Some experience is welcome but not required — we’re happy to teach and work alongside you!
🕰️ Schedule
We work together, side by side with our volunteers:
🕤 9:30 am – 12:00 pm
☕️ Break & lunch
🌿 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm
You’ll have 2 days off per week (not necessarily on weekends).
