I worked mainly in activities and marketing, and I truly enjoyed every part of it. From the beginning, there was always clear and open communication, which made everything much easier and more enjoyable.JC, the manager, is super friendly, supportive, and always willing to help you with anything you need. He really cares about the volunteers and makes you feel comfortable and valued as part of the team.One of the best things about the hostel is the location. You can explore many beautiful places around Puerto Escondido, or simply stay at the hostel and make the most of your free time.

Jc is a very chill and cool guy the work isn't that hard and you get a nice bed in a shared room with ac overall great experience would recommend

Overall, my experience was pleasant. I was able to improve my English skills and learn more about opening up and connecting with people. I met very nice people and made good connections. However, there was one aspect I didn't like: communication. To confirm that I had been accepted, they sent me a message only one day before the agreed start date, which forced me to change my plans and postpone my arrival by 15 days. Later, I requested an extension for a second month, which was accepted, but the departure date was not respected and did not match what had been previously agreed.

The hostel is a lovely place with a great location. The manager Caro is super friendly, she explained everything with all the details about the volunteer job and it was easy to work afterwards. The place is great, including the pool, the palapa with ocean view and the volunteer room with AC and good mattress. I had met people from different countries and made nice friends there. Everyone follows the hours schedule and it works smoothly. If you are looking for the best place to volunteer in Puerto Escondido I highly recommend this one. ♥️♥️

This host is flexible, and the hostel is very well located next to the market. I had a great time in puerto escondido as it is easy to get to la punta and the nightlife in zicatela. However, the management is not very good. They constantly watch you on cameras all over the hostel. The training was not sufficient, and I often felt confused, and they wanted you to text the managers for everything. There is also an untrained dog that will bark constantly and jump on people/eat clothes. I got a towel and slippers eaten by the pool.

The hostel it's a great place to stay, you can meet people all around the world with whom arrive as strangers and leave as friends. I'm really thankful for the opportunity, special thanks to JC he always take of the volunteers. Can't wait to come back.

Hacer voluntariado en surf nest fue una experiencia increíble y muy especial para mí, ya que fue mi primer voluntariado. Desde el primer día te hacen sentir como en familia. Me encargué de apoyar en redes sociales y en actividades con los huéspedes, y siempre hubo una confianza, aprendizaje y muy buena vibra. El ambiente es relajado, auténtico y perfecto para convivir y conocer gente de todo el mundo. Mención especial para Jc que es súper buena onda, siempre atento y con una energía que hace que todo fluya naturalmente. Sin duda Surf Nest te lo recomiendo totalmente 🫰🏼

Esta experiencia fue enriquecedora, creamos una hermosa comunidad como voluntarios pero también con huéspedes que se volvieron familia, conocer otros lugares, costumbres e idiomas fue muy fácil y divertido en compañía de tanta diversidad. Disfruté mucho de las áreas comunes del hostel y de la accesibilidad. El host con su amabilidad hizo de la experiencia algo muy ameno sin embargo una comunicación asertiva mejoraría aun más la experiencia. Amo que es un lugar tranquilo que se siente como hogar y ¡agradezco mucho la oportunidad que me dieron de estar aquí y aprender tanto de Puerto!
