Program Details

At Camping Lazy Rancho, we offer a work-for-room-and-board volunteer exchange during our 2026 season from April to October. In return for helping us out around the campground—gardening, cleaning, light maintenance, closing and opening the campsite and keeping things tidy—you’ll receive:

Accommodation in one of our on-site caravans with a small cooking area
Full access to shared facilities: bathrooms, showers, kitchens, and pool
Regular groceries — you're welcome to join us grocery shopping and pick up whatever you'd like - we've got you breakfast, lunch and dinner covered
Use of a bike to explore the area

Volunteers work an average of 16 hours per week, upon agreed schedule, mostly in the evenings or in the mornings, giving you the rest of the day to hike, swim, paraglide, or just relax and take in the mountain views.

We ask for a minimum stay of 4 weeks, so you can really settle in and become part of the Camping Lazy Rancho experience.

Activities & Shift

As a volunteer at Camping Lazy Rancho, your tasks will be hands-on and varied—perfect if you like being active and outdoors! Typical activities include:

Gardening: watering, weeding, planting, and keeping green spaces looking great
General cleaning: helping keep our Bed & Breakfast and rental units, shared spaces fresh and tidy
Pitch maintenance: light upkeep around the campground and guest pitches
Playground care: making sure the play area is safe and welcoming
Helping guests: occasionally lending a hand with small tasks or questions
We keep things flexible and fair. Volunteers work an average of 16 hours per week, mostly in the early morning or late evening—leaving your days free for adventures or downtime.
Shifts are usually 2–4 hours, and we try to organize a weekly schedule so you know in advance when you're on and when you're free. We keep it relaxed, but reliable—just like life at the campsite!

Rules

To keep things running smoothly and make sure everyone has a great stay, we ask our volunteers to follow these simple rules:

1. Commit to your schedule
Please show up on time for your agreed shifts. If you need to change something, let us know in advance.
2. Minimum stay is 4 weeks
We want volunteers who are reliable and can get into the rhythm of life here.
3. Keep your own and shared spaces clean
Tidy up after yourself in the kitchen, bathrooms, and common areas.
4. Respect quiet hours
We ask for quiet from 22:00 to 07:00, out of respect for our guests and fellow volunteers.
5. No smoking inside
Smoking is strictly forbidden inside any buildings. Please use designated outdoor areas only.
6. Positive attitude required!
Be friendly, helpful, and respectful—to guests, staff, and fellow volunteers. This is a team effort and a community space.
7. Take care of equipment and bikes
If you use the bike or any tools, return them in good condition and let us know if something breaks.
8. Substance use
No excessive alcohol or drug use. We want a fun but responsible environment. Follow the no-smoking-indoors policy.
9. Enjoy your time here!
Make the most of your free time—explore the area, connect with guests, and soak up the mountain vibes.
