We are a non-governmental organization dedicated to supporting vulnerable children and school dropouts in the slum areas of Kabulengwa. π§‘
We work to create a safe, nurturing environment for at-risk youth, addressing urgent needs like poverty, neglect, and lack of access to education. π

What you offer
20 hours of help per week
Social Work:
Help with volunteer work in local projects and communities.
Teaching Sports:
Teaching or assisting the host, guests, or local communities in practicing sports or physical activities.
Teaching Languages:
Teaching a language to the host, guests, or local communities.
Child Care:
Caring for, playing with, and spending time with children.
What you get
2 days off per week
Private Room:
You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.
Breakfast:
You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.
Lunch:
You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.
Dinner:
You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.
Free Laundry:
You can use our laundry room freely.
Free Parties:

Pub Crawls:
Be a part of our pub crawls at local bars!
Pick Up:
We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

High-speed internet for you to work remotely
Requirements
Fluent English
Between 18 and 80 years old
Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers
Be from outside Uganda
European Union Passport
United States visa or citizenship

We offer a variety of roles to match different skills, interests, and availability:
π Education Support: Tutor and mentor children struggling in school, helping them improve in math, literacy, science, and study habits.
Impact: Keep children motivated, catch up on learning, and build a brighter future.
π‘ Childrenβs Home Assistance: Help with daily routines, meal preparation, recreational activities, and emotional support, creating a nurturing environment for growth.
π€ Community Outreach: Assist in raising awareness, connecting with local families, and organizing events to empower the community and promote PCANβs mission.
Activities & Shift
Fundraising is vital to supporting vulnerable children and building sustainable change. π±
Our fundraising activities include:
Connecting Children to Direct Sponsors:
Cover school fees, uniforms, books, and educational materials.
Support healthcare, nutrition, and psychological care.
Create meaningful, lasting bonds between sponsors and children.
Monthly Feeding Program:
Help organize and deliver meals to ensure children receive proper nutrition regularly. π
Shift Information:
Volunteer shifts are flexible and tailored to current needs. Activities include education support, daily care, outreach, and fundraising initiatives. Volunteers typically work around 4β5 hours a day.
