The experience

Bring the beauty of local birds and tropical ecosystems to life at our eco-luxury hotel, a haven for birdwatchers and nature lovers! We seek a detail-oriented artist to create immersive murals, decorative accents, and educational art that celebrates regional avian species and flora. Your work will deepen guests’ connection to nature while aligning with our sustainability mission (check @naturalluxuryhotel for inspiration).

What you offer

30 hours of help per week

Social Media: Maintain and update social media channels.

Teaching Languages: Teaching a language to the host, guests, or local communities.

Painting & Decorating: Help with painting or decorating the property facilities.

Arts: Help with painting, graffiti, sculpting or drawing.

What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Free Tours: We’ll take you on tours and rides around town. For free!

Free Hiking Tours: We’ll take you on excursions and hikes around town. For free!

Get free drinks or beverages.: Drink up! Get free and tasty drinks for yourself.

Free Parties: Get free entrance for the best parties in town.

Free Events: Get free entrance for the best events in town.

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Fast Internet Access: High-speed internet for you to work remotely

Dedicated Workspace: Specific space for you to work remotely

Requirements

Intermediate English or Fluent Spanish

Between 18 and 40 years old

Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or partners)

Activities & Shift

Bird-Themed Murals & Wall Art
Paint large-scale murals of local bird species (e.g., toucans, parrots, hummingbirds) and natural landscapes in communal areas (reception, dining spaces, hallways)

Use eco-friendly paints (e.g., lime-based or low-VOC) to ensure alignment with our sustainability ethos

Decorative Avian Art
Illustrate bird motifs on planters, signage, wooden furniture, and recycled materials using brushes, stencils, or freehand techniques

Design educational wall panels or guest guides highlighting local bird species and conservation efforts
.
Garden Integration
Collaborate with gardeners to frame art with native plants (e.g., pruning foliage to highlight murals)

Paint pathways or rocks to blend art with landscaped areas
.
Guest Engagement
Lead casual bird sketching workshops or explain the stories behind your artwork during guest interactions
