The experience

As a Sustainable Environmental Reforestation and Adaptation(SERA20300)

Project Volunteer opportunities are:
Plant & nurture Moringa trees in the community lands.
Helping with seedling and nursery management.
Engage with the Local Community to raise awareness about Moringa’s benefits.
Support SERA Carbon Credit by assisting in research, mapping, and documentation.
Create digital content (photos, videos, blogs) to help spread by your phone


What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Farming: Plant crops, sow seeds and help in outside tasks.

Gardening: Help grow plants and cultivate gardens

Additional fee required

Amount: US$ 10 Per day

Fee pays for: Donation to project

Description: We expect to have some drinks when working in the village, or we may need local transport from one point to the other as we raise awareness in the community this fee will be pain to the project as a donation to help on insidentals.

Requirements

Fluent English or Beginner Swahili

Between 21 and 55 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Join us at APAO Village as a volunteer with the SERA2030 Project (Sustainable Environmental Restoration through Agroforestry), a grassroots initiative focused on restoring the environment, enhancing livelihoods, and preserving culture through large-scale Moringa tree planting and community engagement.
What You Can Expect to Do
As a SERA2030 Project Volunteer, you’ll be part of a dynamic team making real change. You will:
Plant and care for Moringa trees at APAO Village and surrounding community plots.
Assisted with gardening and managed seedling nurseries.
Raise awareness in the community about Moringa's nutritional, economic, and environmental benefits.
Support our carbon credit work by helping with field data, mapping, and documentation.
Capture and share the journey through photos, videos, blog posts, or social media content.
Engage in cultural exchange, including local language learning and organizing community events.
Join hands in sustainable construction using eco-friendly, locally available materials.
Bring your talents! From digital marketing to environmental education or fundraising, your unique skills are welcome and needed.

Morning Shift (9:00 AM – 12:00 PM)
