Program Details

We’re looking for easy-going, open-minded travellers who enjoy being part of a shared project and don’t mind getting their hands dirty now and then. No special skills are required—just a willingness to pitch in, be flexible, and enjoy the experience. Tasks vary depending on the season and your interests and might include gardening, pruning, light DIY, creative projects, or helping around the house.

In return, you’ll be welcomed as part of the household. You’ll have your own room in the main house, with access to all shared spaces, including the kitchen, garden, and pool. We provide all meals, and there’s usually something bubbling away in the kitchen—but you’re free to cook for yourself too if you prefer.

We’re in a peaceful, rural part of France, so it suits people who are happy with quiet surroundings, nature, and slow living. If you enjoy good conversation, shared meals, learning new things and contributing to a friendly home environment, we think you’ll enjoy your time here.

Activities & Shift

There’s no set schedule or formal shifts—we keep things flexible depending on the weather, what needs doing, and your interests. Activities might include gardening, clearing overgrowth, pruning fruit trees, light DIY, creative tasks like sewing or upcycling, or helping out in the kitchen or house. We generally aim for around 5 hours a day of help, with plenty of time to relax and explore.

Rules

We like to keep things relaxed and respectful. Just a few basic things:

Please treat the house and land with care—this is our home.

Clean up after yourself and help keep shared spaces tidy.

We’re happy to share meals, but please let us know if you have any dietary needs.

No smoking inside the house.

Mostly, just be kind, open-minded, and considerate of everyone sharing the space
