Help us to keep the house tidy

The experience

Silvi and I just had a baby and have a business to run. We need help to do basic daily cleaning: tidy up the house, clean the counters, hang out the clothes, do the dishes, etc.

At this time of the year we do not tend to have other WorldPackers around, which means you'll mainly socialise with our family (cousin's, parents, friends).

Note: we have a cleaner who comes weekly for a deeper house cleaning.

What you offer

30 hours of help per week

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

Housekeeping: Help with changing the bed linens and general housekeeping.

What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Get free drinks or beverages.: Drink up! Get free and tasty drinks for yourself.

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Fast Internet Access: High-speed internet for you to work remotely

Requirements

Fluent English or Fluent Spanish

Between 22 and 32 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Be from outside Portugal

What's not included

Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa

Program Details

We run a Winery and Airbnb. Tiago tends to spend most of its time at the winery while Silvi stays at home with the baby and needs help with cleaning and running the Airbnb.

As described before, we require help to keep the house and our tasting room tidy. In exchange, we provide you with all the meals (you'll need to cook for yourself many times - but we pay for the groceries), unlimited wine, access to the pool and enough free time and opportunities for you to explore other cities.

Activities & Shift

Some work is required to be done during the morning, and perhaps some during the evening.

If you come to help with the tastings at the winery, that will mainly be during lunchtime. Each day you'll be told what you'll be doing.

Rules

- No smoking is allowed inside the house.
- Please do not make noise after 9 PM.
- Switch off all the electricity points when not in use.
