Absolutely loved this experience and would do it again in a heartbeat! Andrea and Diego are so welcoming and friendly and I learnt a lot from them. All the activities were incredible including monitoring sea turtle nests, planting new trees in the jungle, teaching the local scouts about the reserve, harvesting cocoa, coconuts, oranges and yuka and visiting the giant mangroves. I stayed for 2 weeks and it flew by! Including a weekend trip to Mompiche, a local surf village, which was nice and relaxing. The only thing I would say is the everyday schedule is very relaxed so expect to be relaxed.☺

I absolutely loved my stay at the reserve!! Andrea and Diego are simply amazing, incredibly knowledgeable and they care so much about their project! I learned so many new things and experienced amazing moments I will never forget!! I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is interested in turtle the reserve and reforestation! Another amazing bonus about this project are definitely the dogs, I simply loved them!! Thank you, Andrea and Diego for your hard work every single day!! Just a little warning: showering is going to be cold but at least you'll have a nice view:)

I had a wonderful experience at this turtle the reserve project! The hosts Diego & Andrea were incredibly welcoming and passionate about their work — it's clear they've put a huge amount of effort into developing and expanding their the reserve initiatives over the past few years. It was inspiring to work alongside them and be part of their sustainability efforts. I learned so much and left feeling truly motivated by their dedication to protecting turtles and the environment.

Staying with Diego and Andrea was an amazing experience. They have created a wonderful sanctuary in a rural setting. It is a simple but very sustainable set up so travellers need to be prepared for that. Everything was clean and I always felt safe. Both of them are knowledgeable about the reserve and it was an honour to be able to be in their company and learn from them. we were fed good and wholesome food the week we stayed there. We had variety in the schedule and got to do activities close by like chocolate making and a mangrove tour or surfing.

Diego and Andrea were wonderful hosts and it was truly inspiring to be a part of a program dedicated to the reserve on a local level. Our days were packed with new experiences and learning as well as enough down time to relax and take in the beautiful scenery that surrounds their property. I feel so grateful to get to contribute to such an amazing mission and would love to come back in the future.

Honestly where do I begin? This has been some of the best travel experience I have ever had! Diego and Andrea (the hosts) are so incredible and kind! The work the reserve do is so important, and it felt very ethically as well! We got to see turtle nests, turtles lay eggs, move nests and see baby turtles hatch to the ocean! We also did beach cleanups and collected over 70kg of trash, helped at the local school and did some rainforest the reserve. The accomodation and food is good, and it's a 3 min walk from the beach<33 Highy recommend volunteering here!

2 weeks at Puntas the reserve was not enough ! I learned so much about marine life, the culture and had a lot of fun with all the team. A big thank you to Andrea and Diego but also the entire family working there to make us feel at home with wonderful attentions, specials activities and delicious meals

This volunteering experience is quite unique, not only you get to work in nature and with the turtles, but you also have the beach right next to you! The most lovely part is you have the biggest welcome from the hosts Diego and Andrea who are really grateful and are treating you like family! If you really love nature, the ocean and animals this could be an incredible place for you since you will be immerse in this kind of environment or if it's something that you have never done but really interested about and would like to learn about all of that, I would gladly suggest it to you!!
