About the experience in: Siem Reap province, Cambodia
Canada
I was hoping to make a meaningful contribution to English education for local children but the experience was challenging due to a fundamental lack of structure and oversight. There was no orientation, no introduction to students or teachers, no discussion regarding curriculum, learning objectives, or learning needs of the children. Volunteers were left to navigate the experience independently, selecting a classroom at random and teaching whatever they deemed appropriate, without any input from the school to inform lesson planning.

I’m so sad to hear from you that you just come to my school only 10nm for two days then you leave with all structure and volunteer information that I have sent to you by WhatsApp. I recommend you if you apply to other organizations that you should stay at less a week and you can learn from each other without misunderstanding from organization. It seems you are wishing to stay in modern school with perfect structure. This is not for help.
