Job Description: We are looking for a passionate and skilled Café Cook to join our team. As a Café Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of café-style dishes, ensuring high-quality standards, and providing a great dining experience for our customers. You will work closely with other kitchen staff to maintain an efficient and organized kitchen environment.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Food Preparation and Cooking:

Prepare and cook food items according to café menus, including sandwiches, salads, soups, baked goods, breakfast items, and beverages.

Ensure all food is prepared to the highest quality standards in taste, presentation, and portion control.

Maintaining Cleanliness:

Keep the kitchen clean and organized by following food safety standards and hygiene protocols.

Regularly clean cooking equipment, utensils, and workstations to ensure a safe and sanitary environment.

Inventory Management:

Monitor and manage kitchen supplies and ingredients, ensuring stock levels are maintained and that items are fresh.

Assist in receiving deliveries and storing ingredients properly to minimize waste.

Customer Service:

Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely and accurate food orders.

Adapt to customer requests, such as dietary restrictions or special modifications, ensuring a positive dining experience.

Menu Planning and Specials:

Assist in menu development, including offering suggestions for new dishes, seasonal specials, and customer favorites.

Help with the preparation and presentation of special items and promotions.

Quality Control:

Ensure food is cooked and served at the correct temperature, and that it meets company standards for quality and safety.

Address any issues related to food quality

1. Punctuality
Arrive on Time: Arriving at work on time is essential to maintain smooth kitchen operations. You should arrive a few minutes early to ensure you are prepared to begin your shift on schedule.

Timely Breaks: Follow the scheduled break times and return to your station promptly to avoid delays.

Notify of Absences: If you are unable to make your shift, notify your supervisor as early as possible so that appropriate arrangements can be made.

2. Efficiency
Work at a Steady Pace: Complete tasks promptly and efficiently without sacrificing quality. Focus on staying organized and moving through your responsibilities in a timely manner.

Prioritize Tasks: Always work on tasks based on their urgency, whether it’s preparing a customer’s order or cleaning workstations between shifts.

Minimize Downtime: Use any idle moments to assist other team members, clean, or prep for upcoming orders, ensuring no wasted time.

3. Cleanliness
Keep Your Work Area Tidy: Always keep your workstation clean and organized. This includes wiping down counters, washing utensils as you go, and properly storing ingredients.

Clean As You Go: Always clean up after yourself during cooking, avoiding a buildup of mess. This will ensure efficiency and prevent cross-contamination.

End-of-Shift Cleaning: Ensure that all equipment is cleaned and stored properly at the end of your shift. This includes sanitizing surfaces, washing dishes, and wiping down all areas.

4. Good Hygiene
Hand Washing: Wash your hands regularly,
