We're a family passionate about rural life and we'd love to share our passion with volunteers. On our farm at the foothills of the Pichincha Volcano, we care for our animals with love and dedication, and cultivate the land using sustainable techniques. Our family firmly believes in the importance of living in harmony with nature and promoting responsible agricultural practices. Join us to experience the beauty and tranquility of the countryside

What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Kitchen Hand: Help prepare, finish and serve meals.

Animal Care: Help look after and take care of animals.

Building & Repairing: Help with a wide range of repairs or building.

Farming: Plant crops, sow seeds and help in outside tasks.

What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Team Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.

Tent: You will sleep in a tent at a camping site.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Free Tours: We’ll take you on tours and rides around town. For free!

Bikes at your disposal: You can use our bikes any time you want.

Dance classes: Take free dance classes at our place.

Language lessons: Take free language classes at our place.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Basic Internet Access: Basic speed internet for you to work remotely

Requirements

Beginner Spanish or Beginner English

Between 18 and 80 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Program Details

Just 12 kilometers from Quito, lies the picturesque canton of Lloa, a rural oasis where you can disconnect and reconnect with nature. Our cozy residence offers a comfortable and relaxing stay, surrounded by green landscapes and peaceful surroundings. Our small farm reflects our commitment to sustainability and environmental care. We cultivate our own organic produce with dedication and care for our animals with love and respect. We're constantly seeking ways to improve our space using recycled and sustainable materials. Join us as a volunteer and experience a beautiful adventure!

Activities & Shift

Your help at our farmhouse is a family affair. We all work together on various activities simultaneously. We start at 7:30 am with breakfast preparation. At 8:30 am, we begin our routine, integrating into activities such as cleaning, repairs, maintenance, agriculture, and animal care. Finally, we assist with kitchen tasks, have lunch, and help with cleaning. After these activities, you're free to stay at home and spend time with the family, relax, or head into town. Please be respectful of the people in the house and communicate if you need something specific. We're here to help you.

Rules

- Our home is a smoke-free environment. If you wish to smoke, please do so outside the house.
- When using the kitchen, please kindly leave the cooking area clean for others to use."
- You're welcome to use the ingredients and products available in the house to prepare your meals.
