The experience
We’re a family in Quito who enjoys cultural exchange. We are looking for volunteers who want to share our daily life and help with tasks such as cleaning common areas, meal preparation, and small repairs at home. In return, we offer a friendly environment, language practice in English and Spanish, sports and the chance to learn about our culture and gastronomy. Join us and become a member of our family.
What you offer
20 hours of help per week
Painting & Decorating:
Help with painting or decorating the property facilities.
Cleaning:
Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.
Kitchen Hand:
Help prepare, finish and serve meals.
Building & Repairing:
Help with a wide range of repairs or building.
What you get
2 days off per week
Private Room:
You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.
Shared Dorm:
You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.
Breakfast:
You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.
Lunch:
You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.
Free Laundry:
You can use our laundry room freely.
Free Tours:
We’ll take you on tours and rides around town. For free!
Bikes at your disposal:
You can use our bikes any time you want.
Dance classes:
Take free dance classes at our place.
Language lessons:
Take free language classes at our place.
Use our equipped kitchen:
Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.
Fast Internet Access:
High-speed internet for you to work remotely

Beginner Spanish or Beginner English
Between 26 and 80 years old
Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Program
We are a multifunctional family located in Quito, always learning and exploring new hobbies. We love experimenting with creative ideas to improve our home and share experiences with people from different cultures. Volunteers will enjoy an authentic local experience, daily cultural exchange, language practice, and a closer look at our traditions and gastronomy.

Activities & Shift
What You Will Do
Volunteers will support our family with daily tasks and small home projects. The main activities include:
• Helping with meal preparation.
• Washing dishes and keeping the kitchen tidy.
• General cleaning of common areas in the house.
• Spending quality time with our four pets: Chiqui, Chiri, Pan, and Charlotte.
• Assisting in home improvement projects such as painting or simple furniture repairs.
• Helping with grocery shopping for meals.
• Watering and caring for our plants.
Once the daily tasks are completed, you will be free to explore Quito, enjoy local attractions, and make the most of your time in the city.
Rules
- Our home is a smoke-free environment. If you wish to smoke, please do so outside the house.
- When using the kitchen, please kindly leave the cooking area clean for others to use."
- You're welcome to use the ingredients and products available in the house to prepare your meals.
