The experience
Join our Mountain Bongo conservation project and directly contribute to a more sustainable world. This critically endangered antelope, unique to Kenya’s highlands, faces threats from habitat loss and poaching. By volunteering, you’ll not only help protect this iconic species but also empower local communities through education and outreach. Moreover, you'll be instrumental in bridging the gap between conservation and community development.
What you offer
6 hours of help per week
Animal Care:
Help look after and take care of animals.
Child Care:
Caring for, playing with, and spending time with children.
Social Work:
Help with volunteer work in local projects and communities.
Teaching Sports:
Teaching or assisting the host, guests, or local communities in practicing sports or physical activities.

Description:
Fees paid will cater for the volunteers transport not more than 10 kms per day in case they station will require transport. It will also aid in as donation to the project through our organization. It will also cater for some bills like electricity, water, internet and preffered food of their choice. The fee will also go to Mountain bongo conservation program.

◦ Mountain Bongo Conservation:
▪ Assisting with habitat monitoring and data collection (training provided).
▪ Participating in trail maintenance and anti-poaching patrols (when appropriate and safe).
▪ Helping with community awareness campaigns about Mountain Bongo conservation.
◦ Community Engagement:
▪ Organizing and participating in community workshops and events.
▪ Assisting with sustainable livelihood projects (e.g., agriculture, crafts).
▪ Interacting respectfully with community members and learning about their culture.
◦ Teaching and Children's Homes:
▪ Assisting teachers in local schools with lessons and activities.
▪ Organizing educational and recreational activities for children at children's homes.
▪ Providing mentorship and support to children.
▪ Helping with basic maintenance at the children's homes.
◦ General:
▪ Following instructions and working effectively as part of a team.
▪ Respecting local customs and traditions.
▪ Maintaining a clean and organized living space.
▪ Providing feedback for program improvement.
• Language Skills:

Activities & Shift
We are flexible as most activity vary with distance, weather and different timings.
