The experience

Join us as a Volunteer Football Coach to train and mentor street and school children. You'll teach football skills, promote teamwork, and inspire discipline while creating a safe, inclusive space for young talents to grow. What you offer

30 hours of help per week

Child Care: Caring for, playing with, and spending time with children.

Social Work: Help with volunteer work in local projects and communities.

Teaching Sports: Teaching or assisting the host, guests, or local communities in practicing sports or physical activities.

Teaching Languages: Teaching a language to the host, guests, or local communities.

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Program Details

The Volunteer Football Coaching Program at Hope Horizon Foundation is dedicated to nurturing young talent by providing football training and mentorship to street children and school children. Volunteers play a crucial role in transforming lives through sports, fostering discipline, teamwork, and personal growth.

How Volunteers Work with Us:
1. Training Sessions – Volunteers conduct structured football training sessions, focusing on skill development, fitness, and game strategies. Sessions are designed to accommodate children of different skill levels, ensuring everyone gets an opportunity to improve.

2. Mentorship & Guidance – Beyond football skills, volunteers serve as mentors, offering encouragement, discipline, and life lessons. They inspire children to stay motivated, work hard, and develop confidence both on and off the field.

3. Community Engagement – Volunteers actively engage with local schools and communities, organizing friendly matches, sports events, and outreach programs. This helps in building a sense of unity and belonging among the children.

4. Creating a Safe & Inclusive Environment – Volunteers ensure that training sessions are safe, respectful, and inclusive for all children, regardless of their backgrounds. They foster teamwork, sportsmanship, and mutual respect.

5. Progress toring – Volunteers help track the progress of children by assessing their development in football skills, attitude, and personal growth. They provide feedback, set goals, and celebrate achievements to keep children motivated.

6.Collaborating ith the Foundation – Volunteers work closely with the Hope Horizon Foundation team, sharing insights and ideas to enhance the football program. They participate in meetings, contribute to planning, and help improve the overall experien


Activities & Shift

Volunteers follow a structured schedule, making it easier to balance coaching with other responsibilities.
Activities
1. Football Training Sessions
Conduct warm-up exercises, drills, and skill-building activities.
Teach passing, dribbling, shooting, and defensive techniques.
Organize small-sided games and full matches to improve teamwork and strategy.
2. Mentorship & Life Skills Coaching
Encourage discipline, respect, and teamwork through football.
Offer personal guidance and motivation to children.
Teach goal-setting and leadership through sports.
3. Organizing Tournaments & Friendly Matches
Plan and coordinate internal tournaments among the children.
Arrange friendly matches with local schools and community teams.
Promote fair play and sportsmanship in all events.
4. Player Development & Progress Tracking
Assess children's skill levels and provide constructive feedback.
Keep track of improvements in fitness, teamwork, and technical abilities.
Set personalized goals for each child to enhance their growth.
5. Community Engagement & Outreach
Participate in football outreach programs for street children.
Work with schools and local organizations to expand the program.
Help in fundraising or resource mobilization to support training needs.
6. Workshops & Training for Volunteers
Attend regular training sessions to improve coaching skills.
Learn child mentorship techniques and inclusive coaching methods.
Share experiences and ideas with fellow volunteers for program improvement.

Shifts & Time Commitment
Volunteers can choose flexible shifts:

Weekdays (Mon–Fri):

Morning: 8:00 AM – 11:00 AM
Afternoon: 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Weekends (Sat & Sun):
Morning: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Afternoon: 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Special Events: Scheduled as needed.

Minimum Commitment: 6 hours per week.
