The experience

Want to live by ocean? Explore Baja? And meet awesome people from around the world! Join our coastal hostel! Help with light tasks (beds, check-ins, cleaning) while you live in downtown San Jose. Be social, be responsible, and come live the dream in Mexico! 🇲🇽☀️

What you offer

22 hours of help per week

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

Housekeeping: Help with changing the bed linens and general housekeeping.

Administration: Help with booking systems and payments.

Reception: Help with check-ins, check-outs and guest assistance.

What you get

3 days off per week

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Team Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.

Discounts on Tours: Get discounts for tours and excursions around town.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Fast Internet Access: High-speed internet for you to work remotely

Requirements

Beginner Spanish or Intermediate English

Between 18 and 40 years old

Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or partners)

What's not included

Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa

Program Details

Our cozy hostel has a capacity of 15 guests when we are full house, that's why a great volunteer can absolutely change the atmosphere of the hostel. We want to curate a fun and comfortable environment for guest to enjoy the magic of Mexico.

We are looking for someone who is interested in growing and coming out of their comfort zone. Ideally someone who is energetic and ready to share that energy with others.

We want our volunteers to be happy and having fun, that's why always have a big team of volunteers from all over the world. If you are responsible person who wants to experience Mexico, join us! :)

Activities & Shift

The 4 main tasks are:
- Reception work (check ins, check outs)
- Making beds
- Light cleaning and tiding (never deep clean)
- Having fun with guest, and making sure they are enjoying their stay

We keep it easy so none of the task are overwhelming ;)

Rules

As long as you are a good human who is respectful of others and have a true desire to connect, this is the right place for you !
Also, we are not a party hostel ;)
