The experience
Join our eco-lodge team and gain hands-on experience in maintenance, carpentry, and eco-friendly construction while enjoying the beauty of nature. Helpa Eco Cabins is a sustainable lodge that offers unique accommodations surrounded by rivers, forests, and mountains. We are looking for volunteers with basic or advanced skills in maintenance and woodworking to help maintain, repair, and build structures using eco-friendly materials
What you offer
25 hours of help per week
Farming:
Plant crops, sow seeds and help in outside tasks.
Painting & Decorating:
Help with painting or decorating the property facilities.
Building & Repairing:
Help with a wide range of repairs or building.
What you get
2 days off per week
Private Room:
You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.
Shared Dorm:
You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.
Breakfast:
You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.
Lunch:
You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.
Dinner:
You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.
Free Laundry:
You can use our laundry room freely.
Free Tours:
We’ll take you on tours and rides around town. For free!
Free Events:
Get free entrance for the best events in town.
Bikes at your disposal:
You can use our bikes any time you want.
Pick Up:
We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.
Use our equipped kitchen:
Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.
Certificate:
Get a certificate of completion after you finish your experience.

Requirements
Intermediate English or Beginner Spanish
Between 18 and 38 years old
Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Activities & Shift
🏡 General Maintenance & Repairs:
Assist in repairing cabins, common areas, and furniture
Conduct basic plumbing, electrical, and painting tasks
Help with groundskeeping (fixing fences, pathways, and outdoor structures)
Maintain tools and equipment in good condition
Identify and report any necessary repairs
🪵 Carpentry & Woodworking Tasks:
Assist in building wooden structures, such as furniture, benches, and small cabins
Repair and refurbish existing wooden furniture
Work with natural materials to support our eco-friendly vision
Learn and practice basic and advanced carpentry techniques
Follow safe handling of tools and equipment
🏕️ Eco-Construction & Sustainability:
Help in small eco-construction projects using sustainable materials
Participate in creative upcycling of materials for eco-lodge improvements
Contribute ideas for new sustainable maintenance projects
⏳ Work Schedule & Commitment
✅ 25 hours per week
🌞 5 hours per day, 5 days a week
🌴 2 rest days per week
📅 Minimum stay of 2 weeks (longer stays preferred)
Rules
🌱 General Rules
Respect Nature & Sustainability – We are an eco-lodge, so we encourage sustainable living. Please be mindful of water and electricity usage, reduce waste, and follow recycling guidelines.
Be Punctual & Responsible – Volunteers are expected to be on time for their shifts and complete assigned tasks properly.
Respect Guests & Staff – Always maintain a professional and friendly attitude when interacting with guests and fellow volunteers.
No Smoking or Drugs – Smoking is only allowed in designated areas, and the use of drugs is strictly prohibited on the property.
Keep Noise Levels Low – Many of our guests come to relax in nature, so please be mindful of noise, especially during the night.
No Unregistered Visitors – Visitors must be approved by management before entering the property.
🛏️ Accommodation & House Rules
Keep Your Space Clean – Volunteers must maintain cleanliness in their rooms and common areas.
Respect Shared Spaces – The kitchen, bathrooms, and relaxation areas are for everyone; please keep them tidy.
No Outside Food Storage – To avoid attracting insects and animals, do not store food in your sleeping area. Use designated kitchen spaces.
🛠️ Work & Responsibilities
Minimum Work Commitment – Volunteers must work 25 hours per week (5 hours per day, 5 days a week) with 2 rest days.
Follow Assigned Tasks – Volunteers should complete their tasks as directed by the team leader or manager.
Report Issues Immediately – If there is a problem with your assigned duties or accommodation, inform the management as soon as possible.
