The experience
We are a young family living in the pristine Robson Valley, with a mission to help individuals reconnect with their true selves through immersive nature experiences, all centred around our Family Permaculture Homestead.
At the moment, our focus is on building essential infrastructure to welcome visitors. We're seeking the right person to assist us with the construction process, childcare, and helping with growing, cooking, and preserving food.
What you offer
25 hours of help per week
Farming:
Plant crops, sow seeds and help in outside tasks.
Building & Repairing:
Help with a wide range of repairs or building.
Gardening:
Help grow plants and cultivate gardens
What you get
2 days off per week
Private Room:
You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.
Tent:
You will sleep in a tent at a camping site.
Breakfast:
You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.
Lunch:
You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.
Dinner:
You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.
Free Laundry:
You can use our laundry room freely.
Free Hiking Tours:
We’ll take you on excursions and hikes around town. For free!
Bikes at your disposal:
You can use our bikes any time you want.
Pick Up:
We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.
Use our equipped kitchen:
Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.
Basic Internet Access:
Basic speed internet for you to work remotely
Dedicated Workspace:
Specific space for you to work remotely
Requirements
Fluent English or Fluent French
Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa
Program Details
We’re looking for someone who shares our values and vision, has basic carpentry skills, and some experience with young children. While your specific skills are a bonus, the most important qualities we value are:

Living on our homestead offers endless opportunities for growth and learning. As part of our family, you'll engage in a wide variety of activities, such as:
- Planting and harvesting heirloom crops
- Cooking and preserving garden produce
- Assisting in building Kat’s Art Studio/Guest House
- Playing with the kids (treehouses, forts, crafts, books)
- Helping construct our Yurt-extension
- Transplanting plants in Pete’s Greenhouse (150 heritage tomatoes)
- Upgrading fencing for goats and future pigs
- Building the Funky Goat Barn
- Constructing the Black Gold Factory (an insulated composting facility)
- Baking sourdough bread
- Weeding the gardens (a real workout, especially with mosquitoes!)
- Saving seeds (Nantes Carrots, Red Russian Garlic, Seiglinde Potatoes, etc.)
- Renovating our WWOOFER Magic School Bus
- Making medicinal salves and teas
- Riding the lawnmower
- And more...
There’s plenty of room for personal growth, self-expression, and exciting discoveries!

Monday 8am-1pm: Childcare and cooking/preserving project
Tuesday 8am-1pm: Construction project
Wednesday 8am-1pm: Construction project
Thursday 8am-1pm: Gardening project
Friday 8am-1pm: Childcare and cooking/preserving project
Rules
NO DRUGS OR ALCOHOL. This is the only rule we feel very strong about and advise anyone who uses theses substances to look for a place that is more appropriate for you.
