Who we are looking for:
We welcome volunteers who resonate with our values and are open to community living, meditation, and helping with the daily running of the Centre.
If you're looking for an opportunity to immerse yourself in a spiritual environment, contribute to a meaningful cause, and experience the tranquillity of a Buddhist lifestyle in the heart of London, we’d love to hear from you! 🙏✨
Guests will enjoy our warm and friendly community, and be able to join our weekly meditation classes and study Modern Kadampa Buddhism. Meditation classes can help calm your mind, improve your mental clarity, reduce feelings of stress and tension and give you perspective on your life.
Initially we can only offer volunteer opportunities for two weeks. As a volunteer, you will receive free access to our meditation classes and weekend events. We do have some basic rules, such as no alcohol, drugs (including tobacco/vaping), TV, loud music, or meat/fish on-site.
In your free time there are many ways to relax; we are close to local parks and beautiful Hampstead Heath. Golders Green tube station (northern line) is only 5 minutes walk away with excellent links into central London, and there are also many bus routes and a National Express coach station.
Activities & Shift
We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to support the Centre in a variety of ways. Many of the roles are practical and hands-on — such as distributing publicity around London, preparing rooms for visitors, cleaning, cooking for fellow volunteers, gardening, redecorating, and maintenance. These tasks can sometimes be physically demanding, but they are also very rewarding. Other opportunities include assisting with social media and marketing, and welcoming attendees to our meditation classes and events.
Rules
Our Centre has four houses and guests stay in shared rooms with shared bathroom. Vegetarian meals are provided as part of your stay. Please note, no alcohol, drugs (including tobacco/vaping), TV, loud music, or meat/fish is allowed on-site.
