Program Details

As our climate activist volunteer your main tasks will be creating and holding workshops and project works centred around climate change and climate activism with the students of the Academy and our partner schools. This can be in preparation of our Maven Carnival (our Climate Action Event) or all-year-round as an extracurricular activity. Examples for that can be upcycling projects like making trash cans for schools out of old plastic bottles and smaller building projects with plastic bottles.
If you join us close to the Maven Heart Carnival your work will probably be more centred assisting and planning within the different school who are participating with their projects (for example building of trash bins from plastic bottles or making bags out recycles bags). Due to that you will support with the organizational work in assistance with the Maven Heart team. In the other half of the year you would do more of the workshops in the schools and depending on how you organize it can also have a high practical part. Once or twice a week team meetings of the local staff are taking place where all volunteers are coming together and both the team and the volunteers are being updated about the progress and state of their work.

Activities & Shift

Normally your work day starts by 9am and ends by 3pm. For 3 days in a week you will work in either our Maven Heart Academy or in our of our partner schools. The other 2 work days you can either work from the hostel/office or do remote work.
