Program Details

We aren't very structured or formal, but we like to think we have a nice mood in the house. Many volunteers have said they felt warmly welcomed and as part of the family, and quite a few have been here several times :)
We don't expect you to work all day, that's not what it's about, but if you are positive and willing to take part in our daily lives and tasks, that's perfect! We’re looking for positive, enthusiastic people who are eager to join in our daily lives and tasks. If that sounds like you, we’d love to have you!
Looking forward to meeting you!

Activities & Shift

A few things to note:
We prefer people who are willing to start the day with us! Breakfast is a shared experience at 9 a.m. every morning.
Daily tasks include cooking, cleaning, animal care (chickens, cats, and a dog), gardening (from April to September), and general maintenance.
While we aren’t super structured or formal, we pride ourselves on having a warm and friendly atmosphere in the house. Many of our volunteers have felt like part of the family and have even returned several times!
We don’t expect you to work all day long—it’s not about that.

Rules

For us, it's important that you help us to maintain the sorting systems for garbage, there are strict rules on this topic in Norway. As soon as you understand the system, it's easy and we save time :)

Also, it's very good if you can acquire a statement (from the police in your country) that says you have no criminal record when it comes to working with children. Some times we help out at childrens camps, and we have grandchildren :) And maybe we have an exchange student here from the coming autumn - then this statement is required for us as well.
