Couples Needed in West of Ireland 2026

The experience

Hello Backpackers,

We are running a small horticulture business in the western part of Ireland (West Cork) producing, packing and selling flower bulbs locally and around the country. We are located in Bandon, County Cork where we provide accommodation on site (mobile home) and allow the use of a vehicle for local trips, shopping etc.

We are looking for people for our Summer season in 2026 from the 20th of July to the 16th of October 2026.

What you offer

30 hours of help per week

Farming: Plant crops, sow seeds and help in outside tasks.

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

Building & Repairing: Help with a wide range of repairs or building.

Gardening: Help grow plants and cultivate gardens

What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Basic Internet Access: Basic speed internet for you to work remotely

Requirements

Intermediate English or Intermediate French

Between 18 and 40 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Program Details

Work is Monday to Friday where you will be alongside a small team in a warehouse packing bulbs both by hand and with our automated machines. Our products are sold in garden centres across the country so care and consideration is necessary to ensure the quality of our products before they leave our warehouse. Training is provided so little to no experience is necessary. However skills such as attention to detail, ability to read, write and speak English at an intermediate level is necessary. The role would include some heavy lifting, operating machinery and repetitive movements.

Activities & Shift

We provide a mobile home large enough to host 2 couples, in which a double bed room is offered to every couple. Accommodation can also be provided for individuals in a same mobile home format. All mobile homes are provided with toilets, cooking facilities, living space and showers. We also provide a communal space for washing clothes and communal showers. Hot water and basic amenities such as fridge, kettle microwave and linen are all at your disposal. We also allow the use of a vehicle for local trips to further your cultural exchange in the county of Ireland.
