The experience

Here at KAGAALI foundation we currently have 75 children as these are orphans and 17 elderly people who are under our care, Note should be taken that we are highly responsible for the wellbeing of the children talk of basic needs such as food, shelter, medication, clothing, among others. And for the case of the elderly under the foundation we provide all the necessary needs apart from education given the limited resources.

What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Elderly Care: Assisting and spending time with the elderly.

Child Care: Caring for, playing with, and spending time with children.

Additional fee required

Amount: US$ 13 Per day

Fee pays for: Benefits for travelers

Description: The fee is to cover housing costs. Pay notice that we can arrange for pickup from Entebbe Airport. Costs for pickup are $128 (one way) and are borne by the volunteer.

What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Certificate: Get a certificate of completion after you finish your experience.

Requirements

Beginner English or Beginner English

Between 19 and 55 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Program Details

Cooking for elderly and children and serving out the food, cleaning the houses of the elderly, laundry for the children, playing and interacting with the children, teaching and cultural exchange with the children, physical education with the children.
