I had a blast! I was there during their light trail set up for the new year and it was such an amazing experience to see it all come together. Everyone there was so nice and welcoming I never felt out of place!

I had the best time at the project Permaculure. I've spent three weeks volunteering for auntie and her community. She is one of the loveliest hosts, she is very kind and thoughtful. I felt like I was part of her family. Spending most of the month in the tent was an adventure I won't ever forget. I definitely recommend this place.

I stayed with my sister at the project for three weeks and it was a truly unique experience for both of us, which we wouldn't be able to find anywhere else. Auntie, how our host Rina called herself, is truly a warmhearted person, whom we liked from our first meeting. She created this amazing place, where you can learn a lot about Maori culture and living in a connection with nature. Volunteers sleep in a tent, which we both liked and viewed as an adventure under the stars. Our tasks were mostly focused on gardening and taking care of animals. We highly recommend!

I had the most amazing time staying at Napeke. The people are incredibly kind and helpful. The work is very reasonable and mostly consists of feeding the chickens, ducks and the cat, collecting eggs, watering plants, weeding and planting. The whole stay is community focused and you will meet, work alongside and learn from locals. I recommend it wholeheartedly!

This was amazing, the hole crew at the project was great! The hole time we spent here we loved, we learned so much and had so fun! They were the nicest and best coworkers, and the were so welcoming and friendly! They were so generous and opened the place for us, we could live the real farm life and eat from the land! Would recommend this to everyone, if you have the luxury to come here, enjoy!

What an amazing place! Auntie Rina created a truly special community and I feel so honoured to have been accepted into it with open arms for the short period of my stay. I learned new things about the local land and water management/conservation, the native plants and how to balance them with introduced species, and the associated challenges. Most of the time we worked alongside local volunteers, and their enthusiasm and dedication are infectious. The host has a heart of gold, and goes out of her way to care for everyone, and it was honestly humbling to watch her. It was really hard to leave!

Joanna is truly a beautiful person with a bubbly personality. She got on with everyone here at the farm. Joanna was a great worker who worked well with our team and other volunteers on a number of tasks. No task was too much for her. She is also well travelled on a pushbike which is how she arrived here. Therefore, an independent traveller in this case.

I had an amazing week at the project Rina and all the other volunteers were amazing, I can't praise them enough for making me feel welcome and introducing me to how they live and there plans for the farm. I throughly enjoyed all my tasks on the farm from looking after the chickens to staking the flax plants. This week was so fun and educational would highly recommend to anyone weather you have lots or no experience of working on a farm.

My time here was amazing, the host and the whole team welcomed me and my friend so lovely. It was an amazing first stay on Worldpackers. I would recomment this place to everybody who loves being in the nature, because its so peaceful around the property. We also learned so much about the history of the Farm and farming in New Zealand in general and I think the goal of this projekt should be known.

An experience of great human quality.I felt connected to the people and the land. They are a wonderful big family, very welcoming and respectful. And I could tell everybody in the community want to be part of this project. People from all ages and backgrounds go everyday to contribute with something to the farm. The energy in the project is about caring and respect, cooperation, love in a pure way. An experience that inspires to recover the ancestral knowledge of the earth. Special mention to auntie Rina who tought me a lot about permaculture and life.

I had an incredible experience volunteering at the project. Everyone at the farm was so welcoming and kind, and really made me feel at home during my stay. I learned so much from Rina and the rest of the project team about permaculture, sustainability, Māori cultural values, and so much more. My time at the project has inspired me to learn more about permaculture and how taking care of the earth takes care of communities, and that is truly a gift I am so grateful for. Thank you to the whole the project community!
