Joining the projectwas one of the best decisions i've ever made. as volunteers, we teach english classes to kids and adults from the local community. it was my 1st timethethethe project, but it felt so natural. what makes this the projectspecial is the connection with the people: their smiles, kindness and how they make you feel part of something real. the projectteam, especially vicky, midi and silvinha, are amazing and so supportive. the volunteer house is lovely, surrounded by nature andthe project's unique energy. it was an unforgettable experience i'll always carry in my heart and truly recommenend!

The project is a truly amazing project that aims to teach English to people living in the project! I felt really welcomed here, everything was absolutely amazing and I hope I can be back soon. The whole team, Vicky Silvinha e Carla, have been like a family for me in these days in the project, I will always be so grateful! Volunteering with the project is a great opportunity. The host team was wonderful, super helpful and friendly. The location is nice and allows you to interact with the locals. The teaching aspect is nice to be able to help the locals practice their English as well as be able to practice portugués for yourself.

A truly wonderful experience !! the project is a great project and I feel very lucky to have gotten to be part of it in my time here. The classes are engaging and truly impactful for the community here. Communication about work responsibilities or general questions was great and the team here made me feel welcome from the start, not to mention the town is beautiful and close to nature as well as nightlife. My two weeks quickly turned into a month… and would absolutely return. 🫀🌞

Our stay at the projectwas fun, but very challenging. The place where we stayed is a hotel, and that was our main challenge, as we depended on the staff and management for our meals and room cleaning. There were a lot of changes during our volunteering time, disrespect and indifference from management which we couldn't face it otherwise but with resistance. The coordinator, Vicky, was friendly and welcoming, and the team (Sil and Mid) are wonderful people :) As for the role we played, we loved it! the projectFarm was delightful, and we felt the deep gratitude of the parents and students.

The hours were reasonable, volunteers were only asked to do what we had agree to. However there were some problems between the hotel and the other volunteers. We were made to sign an agreement requiring us to not use any hotel facilities, requirements about not wearing swim clothes outside of the pool area (which we weren't allowed to go by) and music playing loudly from 7am - 11pm so working or sleeping in on off days was difficult. No consistent internet due to hotel construction. No place to cook, refrigerator broken in the room and huge bugs and bats would come in so meals were difficult

Não tenho palavras para descrever o quanto amei a experiência de voluntariado no Hellowthe project. Só tenho a agradecer à Vick, uma anfitriã incrível e responsável pelo projeto, e também à Midian e à Sandrinha, que me acolheram de forma tão calorosa. O projeto é simplesmente maravilhoso, e estou muito feliz por ter feito parte dele. Parti com o coração apertado, mas com a certeza de que voltarei em breve. Super recomendo! Abraços ❤️
