Program Details

I want to share the experience of living and working with horses in a picturesque location. I share the land with native animals including kangaroos, koalas and possums and many bird species including kookaburras, galahs, rosellas, lorikeets, corellas, cockatoos, blue wrens and wild ducks. The house is large and comfortable. The guest bedroom with queen bed is the coolest room in summer and has electric blankets in winter.

I am now managing the farm alone with physical health issues and need some help!

Activities & Shift

Looking after the horses needs to be done every day, no matter the weather. After the horses are fed, unrugged and manure picked up, (take about 90 minutes for 1 person), the volunteer can do other tasks at any time during the day, or have the rest of the day off. Weather will sometimes determine what time we do things and the things that need to be done .

Rules

No indoor smoking or drinking.
