The experience

We’re looking for Volonteers to help us around our tradtional Guesthouse in Bizerte, Tunisia! If you love food, hospitality and you have a passion for working in a fun and dynamic environment, this is the perfect opportunity! 🤗 Whether you’re cooking , cleaning, or organizing, your energy and dedication will be key! What you offer

30 hours of help per week

Kitchen Hand: Help prepare, finish and serve meals.

Cooking: Choose the menu, pick ingredients and cook delicious dishes.

Bartending: Make and serve drinks and help maintain the beverages inventory.

What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Discounts on Tours: Get discounts for tours and excursions around town.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Basic Internet Access: Basic speed internet for you to work remotely

Requirements

Intermediate English or Intermediate French

Between 18 and 45 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Program Details

Your own private room in the medina, just a 5-minute walk from the beach & harbor
Maximum 6 hours of work per day, 5 days a week

We’re already a small, friendly group of who not only works together but also enjoys the good life together. Several times a week we do fun things like: beach days, pool days, shared dinners, little road trips and more!

🌱 Being vegetarian is totally fine. Vegan can be a bit tricky due to limited food alternatives.

Activities & Shift

Your tasks will include:
Preparing breakfast for our guests
Cleaning guest rooms
Helping out wherever a hand is needed around the house

Rules

We want you to see our Guesthouse as your own, feeling comfortable and thriving. We love giving away responsibities when we see you want to grow with your tasks and giving you the chance to learn more about the tourism business.
Besides that, it is really important for us, that you are a honest, emotionally stable and a non egocentric person. We are a big Family, where everyone contributes to it and shows interest not just in working with us, but also keep the community warm by yourself.
A big thing for solo travelling woman: don't worry about any creeps in here, males are very carefully selected and we do not accept any weird comments/behaviour in form. 1 problem in that direction, they are homeless the same day.
A great work ethic and a view of not just coming to us wanting free holidays without doing much and demanding without giving is a MUST. And most importantly please stay away, if you like complaining all day, talking about people or just having a negative energy. We are very strict with protecting our little hearth project and its warm energy, that we also are not afraid to ask someone to leave, if it destroys our all peace.
