The experience

In spring and summer I mostly need help with housekeeping and in the kitchen. There's also maintenance, renovations, and yardwork. There’s a long to-do list with a wide variety of task so you have options, though housekeeping will be the priority when there are B&B guests. Please be autonomous as I'm already very busy and won't necessarily work on the same tasks as you - but please ask questions! FYI I'm American, but speak French as well.

What you offer

20 hours of help per week

Kitchen Hand: Help prepare, finish and serve meals.

Painting & Decorating: Help with painting or decorating the property facilities.

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

Gardening: Help grow plants and cultivate gardens

What you get

3 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Fast Internet Access: High-speed internet for you to work remotely

Intermediate English or Beginner French

Program Details

Maison de Chastenay is a bed & breakfast and event venue - weddings, conferences, parties etc. Renovations are underway and help is welcome.

Activities & Shift

You are in charge of tracking your hours. Please let me know what days/hours you plan to work and we will arrange the schedule together.

Non-smoking house. Quiet hours between 10pm and 7am.
