I absolutely loved my time at the shelter. Tash and Mick welcomed me into their home and were so kind and helpful during my whole stay. Their dedication to the animals is so inspiring. Getting the hands on experience and getting to spend so much time with the animals was truly unforgettable. I would absolutely recommend the shelter as a great opportunity and I hope I can come back again in the future!

Could not recommend the shelter enough. They are the sweetest people and really care about the animals they the shelter. It was a great experience all around. The animals are all super cute as well!

The shelter was a fantastic place to volunteer and stay. Tash was an absolute angel and bent over backwards to make us feel welcome. It was so incredible to get hands on with the animals and accompany the team on rescues, be in charge of feedings, and also get the chance to explore Perth and meet tons of locals. I could not recommend the shelter enough.

I had the most amazing two weeks at the shelter. You're very much involved in the work and responsible for the animals, which makes the job fun. Tash and Mick welcome you in their home and are very friendly which makes it feel like you're at home. Besides working there is a lot of freedom to explore the surroundings and there is always room for initiative. Will definitely go back here one day!

I had a truly amazing experience staying here! Michael and Tash are very nice and welcoming, ensuring you feel at home in their home! The animals are incredibly cute, and it is very hands on, you are actually involved and helping, not just watching. There were other travelers while I stayed, with whom I had the best time! If you are in Perth I would definitely recommend going here!❤️🦘

My experience was extremely positive. Tash is an extraordinary person who truly cares about us and does everything she can to make sure we're well. The work itself is very relaxed (maybe even too much for me!). My main tasks were feeding the animals early in the morning and again in the afternoon. The main the shelter is the kangaroo, but there are also possums, many different birds, and emus, etc. The only downside is that the location is really remote—20 minutes to the nearest town and almost an hour to Perth.There's a car available, but driving on the left was a problem for me.
