Offering space/farm stay on beautiful 40 acre working property (horse riding and training centre).
45 mins to Adelaide city centre. Close to other Adelaide Hills townships and tourist attractions (Mt Barker, Hahndorf, Strathalbyn, Monarto, Mclaren Vale wine district, Kuitpo Forest).
Looking for volunteers to help look after the horses and farm.
What you offer
25 hours of help per week
Painting & Decorating:
Help with painting or decorating the property facilities.
Animal Care:
Help look after and take care of animals.
Building & Repairing:
Help with a wide range of repairs or building.
Gardening:
Help grow plants and cultivate gardens
What you get
2 days off per week
Private Room:
You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.
Breakfast:
You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

You can use our laundry room freely.
Pick Up:
We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Requirements
Intermediate English
Between 21 and 65 years old
Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Program Details
Daily tasks will vary according to the weather but will be feeding horses every day, picking up manure, keeping place tidy. Lots of gardening (weeding, mowing, mulching, planting etc). Other maintenance jobs might be painting, washing/polishing cars and horse floats, cleaning gutters etc.
Rules
No smoking in house.
Number of hours per day may vary according to task and weather conditions but will average out to about 20 hours per week.
Need to be frugal and careful with water usage as we are in drought and dependent solely on rainwater.
