Program Details

Are you passionate about sustainability and living close to nature? Come join me at my beautiful 7½-acre property in the peaceful valley of the Noosa Hinterland! I’ve lived here for 30 years, working towards self-sufficiency, and I’m now looking for volunteers to help maintain and grow this amazing space.

The property is filled with extensive gardens, both productive and ornamental, including plants for wildlife refuge. My most successful crops include dragon fruit, black sapote, cucumbers, bananas, pumpkins, and the usual winter crops. I follow organic principles, permaculture, and Hügelkultur, creating a space that's not only sustainable but also peaceful and full of life.

Guests will stay in a small, separate self-contained dwelling, which was previously used as an Air BnB. It’s the perfect spot to relax and enjoy nature. There’s also a small outdoor fire pit that many guests have enjoyed.

Activities & Shift

What You'll Be Doing:

Work will mostly include gardening, weeding, pruning, and maintenance tasks, but it could also involve cleaning, tidying, or light construction.
As a vegetarian household, we offer vegetarian and vegan meals to our guests.

In exchange for your help, I provide meals and accommodation in this beautiful, nature-filled location, where you’ll also have the opportunity to enjoy the wildlife, including a family of wallabies, and the variety of birds and reptiles that live here.

This is the perfect opportunity if you're looking to connect with nature, contribute to sustainable living, and experience a peaceful, off-the-grid lifestyle.

Rules
