The experience

Hi dude...
My name Dika, I'm a principle of a private Kindergarten in a small city, Binjai in North Sumatera, Indonesia. Our activity is very fun, we teach many things to the children. We learn alphabet, number, coloring, singging, having fun with games, doing origami, etc. We invite you as the volunteer to feel the happiness spending time with the kindergarten students.

What you offer

15 hours of help per week

Kitchen Hand: Help prepare, finish and serve meals.

Cooking: Choose the menu, pick ingredients and cook delicious dishes.

Child Care: Caring for, playing with, and spending time with children.

Arts: Help with painting, graffiti, sculpting or drawing.

What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Bikes at your disposal: You can use our bikes any time you want.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Basic Internet Access: Basic speed internet for you to work remotely

Requirements

Fluent English or Fluent Indonesian

Between 18 and 40 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Be from outside Indonesia

European Union Passport

United States visa or citizenship

Travel insurance

What's not included

Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa

Program Details

We are very honored for every volunteer who will come to our school. We hope you will tell us about the method how to teach children in your country, maybe you can give us some tips and tricks to manage the management of a school.

Activities & Shift

You can some do some activities on free day, so you are not only spent your time for teaching. There are some good places to visit near Binjai. Bukit lawang is the first recommended for you, you can having fun in a river, see Orang Utan Sumatera and feeding it. The second is Tangkahan, we can see elephant. The third is Berastagi, it has scenary and also you can hiking a volcano mountain there.
