The experience

Learn about syntropic farming systems while helping us establish a cash crop under this context. We expect to have a team of what we call "Volunteer Leaders" that are committed to learning and leading important areas of the farm. From taking care of the green house, to working hands on the field, to having daily study time, we work together to help you get ready for all you need to know about permaculture and agroecology.


What you offer

5 hours of help per day

Animal Care: Help look after and take care of animals.

Building & Repairing: Help with a wide range of repairs or building.

Gardening: Help grow plants and cultivate gardens

Farming: Plant crops, sow seeds and help in outside tasks.

Additional fee required

Amount: US$ 15 Per day

Fee pays for: Materials for volunteer activities

Description: Volunteers contribute to cover expenses for food and maintenance.


What you get

1 day off per week

Team Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Free Tours: We’ll take you on tours and rides around town. For free!

Free Hiking Tours: We’ll take you on excursions and hikes around town. For free!

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Yoga classes: Take free yoga classes at our place.

Dance classes: Take free dance classes at our place.

Language lessons: Take free language classes at our place.

Permaculture Course: Take part in our Permaculture course for free.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Certificate: Get a certificate of completion after you finish your experience.

Basic Internet Access: Basic speed internet for you to work remotely

Dedicated Workspace: Specific space for you to work remotely


Requirements

Intermediate English or Intermediate Spanish

Between 18 and 35 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers


What's not included

Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa


Activities & Shift

Starting early after the sun rise, the first priority is to take care of the green house and keep a record of the progress. After finishing, the activities are: maintenance on trees, plants and trails, mulching, planting and preparing the soil. After 12:00 pm we enjoy lunch, free time is from 1-5 pm and study time from 5-7 pm. Team meetings daily.
