The experience

Pruning olive trees it is like a workout hauling or drag small branches on the olive grove up. The help mainly is to cut small branches by hand with with large garden shears or secateurs and pick-up by hand and move and carry them to a wood pile and move branches in a row in order to be later chipped in small pieces in June for organic composting.


What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

Kitchen Hand: Help prepare, finish and serve meals.

Farming: Plant crops, sow seeds and help in outside tasks.

Gardening: Help grow plants and cultivate gardens


What you get

2 days off per week

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Tent: You will sleep in a tent at a camping site.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Free Hiking Tours: We’ll take you on excursions and hikes around town. For free!


Requirements

Intermediate English or Beginner Italian

Between 18 and 55 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Program Details

After breakfast we drive by car or also the chance for a 30 minutes hike to the olive grove. We start at 9 am and have at 11 am a short coffee break (15 min) with fresh cooked italian Mokka coffee. Between 1 - 1:45 pm we do a vegeterian lunch break on the olive grove. During the work conversations are highly appreciated and also to do a rest. We work until 3:30 pm and drive or walk home.


Rules

We cook togehter in rotation vegeterian receipts of our home contries or italian local receipts. Cooking together and sharing meals together is one important pillar of this workout.
