Activersity is a project aiming to become a "University for Activists". How to go from messaging group to NGO, and everything in between. Here, people can learn about historical social movements – successful and failed. They learn how to form sustainable alliances, distribute tasks, tax declarations, strategic planning, and more.

What you offer

20 hours of help per week

Content Writer: Write, edit and publish inspiring content.

Video Making: Create, edit and publish digital videos.

Party Promoter: Help organise and promote parties and social activities.

Social Media: Maintain and update social media channels.

What you get

3 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Program Details

The first module of our curriculum of our "University for Activists" is ready, we're working on the second (of about 10), and we are now welcoming volunteers interested in

a) growing the activersity by translating texts, desigining posters, editing podcasts, organizing events and

b) campaigning for people to move from billionaire held social media to decentrialized, people-held social media.

Activities & Shift

- discuss the tasks of the day with one of us (daily)
- group meeting with other volunteers and Activersity staff to discuss weekly goals and further plans

We're growing our website so half of the time you will be working on filling the website with
- text content (text will be provided by us)
- pictures that you make or find or produce with AI
- uploads of created media mentioned below
- recording events/talks and editing to short videos that can be uploaded

The other half will be spent on working on a specific campaign: Promoting Decentralized Social Media (to move away from billionaire social media). Your tasks may involve:
- make social media posts (graphic, audio, video)
- edit these
- translation of texts and upload to website (blog articles)
- making pamphlets
- finding potential partner projects and contacting them
- organising rallies
- distributing pamphlets
- interviewing other projects
- contacting projects to persuade them to side-post on decentralized social media
- etc.

Most tasks are computer based.

You can organize your time fairly freely, we just need to keep in touch about it.

Rules

- No smoking in the house
- Pets are accepted only if they may roam free in the house and if no other house residents or volunteers object due to allergy
- more specific house rules will be discussed during videocall
