The experience

We are looking for dedicated volunteers to help us maintain cleanliness and hygiene in our facilities while also creating a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. Your role will be crucial in ensuring that our spaces are comfortable for everyone who walks through our doors. What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

Housekeeping: Help with changing the bed linens and general housekeeping.

Administration: Help with booking systems and payments.

Reception: Help with check-ins, check-outs and guest assistance.

2 days off per week

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Requirements

Fluent English or Intermediate Spanish

Between 21 and 34 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Program Details

Tasks and Responsibilities:

Clean and sanitize designated areas, including bathrooms, kitchens, common areas, and sleeping quarters.

Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust surfaces regularly.

Empty trash bins and replace liners as needed.

Assist with laundry duties, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens and towels.

Communicating with guests, making them feel like home

SOCIAL MEDIA EXPERIENCE IS A PLUS


Activities & Shift

5 hours shifts-
MORNING -8AM TO 1PM (mainly cleaning and check outs)
NOON - 1PM TO 6PM (mainly check ins)

twice a week we have the night shift that normally goes from 5.30pm to 10.30pm
In this shift we cook a meal for guests


Rules

Maintain Cleanliness & Hygiene – Keep all common areas, bathrooms, and shared spaces tidy and welcoming for guests. Follow the cleaning schedule and tasks assigned.

Reception Duties – Assist with check-ins and check-outs, provide information to guests, and create a friendly atmosphere at the front desk. A warm welcome goes a long way!

Create a Positive Atmosphere – Engage with guests, be friendly and helpful, and contribute to a good vibe in the hostel.

Respect the Schedule – Show up on time for your shifts and communicate in advance if you need any changes.

Teamwork is Key – Support fellow volunteers and staff, and help each other out when needed.

Respect the Space & Guests – Keep noise levels reasonable, be considerate of guests’ needs, and always represent the hostel in a professional and friendly manner.

Follow House Rules – No excessive drinking, drug use, or disruptive behavior. We want to keep the space safe and enjoyable for everyone.

Stay Committed – If you agree to volunteer, we expect you to complete your agreed-upon stay unless there’s an emergency.
