The experience

Hey all travellers!

We are a refugee-led organisation based in Nakivale Refugee Settlement, helping the people of our communities. We are looking for someone who can help further the English competencies and pedagogical practices for our teachers, and other adults, in order to improve the future of our children. Teachers and teaching students are encouraged to apply! We also ensure you there will be plenty of kids who want to talk and play.

What you offer

4 hours of help per day

Social Work: Help with volunteer work in local projects and communities.

Teaching Languages: Teaching a language to the host, guests, or local communities.

What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Free Tours: We’ll take you on tours and rides around town. For free!

Language lessons: Take free language classes at our place.

Fluent English

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers
