I really enjoyed my time at the hostel! You have lots of opportunities to meet really cool people. The work is easy, you have most of the day to explore and party. It is quite the party hostel. I would recommend if you are looking to party!

I highly recommend volunteering at the hostel! The staff quickly felt like family, and there was never a dull moment in the hostel. We have events every night, but you are never pressured to go out if you need a relaxing night in. The hours and work are very fair, and there is plenty of time to leave the hostel to explore the city. We love the saying “one more night” because of how frequently we have guests ask to extend there stay. That should tell you a little about the culture at the hostel :-)

Best experience I could've asked for! the hostel is such a unique hostel because everyone there, staff and guests, become your family. This was my first worldpackers opportunity and they made me feel so comfortable straight away, the tasks are straightforward and leave you plenty of time to explore the city. Also the fact that it's a party hostel without having parties at the hostel itself makes it ideal for whatever mood you're in. Can't recommend it enough ❤️

This was my first Worldpackers experience and was honestly so so good!! All the staff are so lovely , friendly and inclusive, and there's a real family vibe to the hostel too. Really good place to come if you want to meet new people and party - couldn't recommend more !!! 💖💖🌟🌟

Heyyy potential volunteers my review could be two words: do it. But I'll elaborate. the hostel was such a lovely welcoming environment to show up as a first time solo traveller and volunteer. I really appreciate how there is a group of staff and volunteers to create a little hub of social life as people come and go. It means the vibe is consistently comfortable as you are meeting loads of new and interesting people. Other key stuff: The work load? fair & straightforward housekeeping (only 2 hrs a day!) The city? Budapest is amazing & you won't run out of stuff to do The partying? gr8

Volunteering at the hostel was an incredible experience. The work is super reasonable and the hostel is very comfortable and social. The wild, wonderful staff/volunteer team makes the hostel a truly special place to be. I enjoyed every day (and night)! Do yourself a favor and volunteer here.

I couldn't have asked for a better first solo travelling experience. At first the closeness of the other volunteers can be quite intimidating, but they are all eager to make you feel included and take every opportunity to make you feel welcomed. The work was super easy and reasonable, only two hours a day which gave a lot of free time to explore the city. The staff and other volunteers at the hostel began to feel like family and it was really hard to leave such a wonderful environment. I made so many amazing memories and I'm so grateful for my time here…I will definitely be back. One more night!

From the first day I entered the hostel I felt so welcome. We became a little family during my time there and I could not say a single bad thing about my time there. I am on the bus leaving Budapest and I am already considering looking at the timetable to return in a few weeks. Thanks Asta you legend!

What an awesome experience! Vitea Hostel and its team is so problematically cozy, welcoming and simply amazing that my only problem was the amount of discipline it took me to go out and actually explore the city instead of just hanging out, laughing and partying with all the most loving, unhinged people (wæ wæ). I made some amazing friends, both with the Hostel longtermers and the guests and I will most certainly return to my little family in Budapest. (Autumn, Ryan, Alex, Nic, Asta, Emily, Emilia, Clara, Haggi, Vic and of course Julien, I love you all! PS: don't die of liver failure please)

I really liked it here at the hostel! I struggled at the beginning as it wasn't immediately welcoming but everyone is lovely. It's an extremely social hostel with drinking at the heart of it, so bear that in mind if that's what you really want! But honestly a great place!
