I had a great experience at the hostel! The work was relaxed and flexible. The property was beautiful and made it quite enjoyable to spend the days there. This is a great way to immerse yourself in local culture and the hostel attracts lots of kind and interesting guests from all over the world. I would highly recommend volunteering here!

My friend and I had a great time at Fatima's. We had great connections with guests as well as other volunteers. There is no schedule for work so you just get your tasks done in the morning then you're free. You have to communicate when you want to take your weekends. Patience is required with communication due to language barriers but totally manageable. the hostel is a chill place with not a lot going on, we really enjoyed the rest and immersion in nature. Thanks again for the hospitality and love you showed us!

I stayed for about two weeks at the hostel and I absolutely enjoyed it! Fatima was a great host, she has a big heart and despite some misunderstandings because of the language barrier you would feel like you were part if the family. The work was very easy, mostly just simple cleaning and changing beds. Working hours are definitely respected as it is not a too busy place. In our free time we mostly lay in the hammocks, played with the dog, or explored the beautiful landscapes. I already miss the breakfast of Fatima with her selfmade fig jam and the freshly baked bread!!

This was my first ever volunteer experience and it was great. The host Fatima was always so loving, kind and helpful. And even if her English is not the greatest, we always managed to understand each other. She really made this place feel like home. The tasks were simple, cleaning the hostel didn't take much time as well as being at the reception. Most of the day we had a lot of free time on our hands. Other volunteers as well as guests were also super chill, we got along very well. I'd recommend this experience to anyone who's looking for a more relaxed and quiet place to stay.

Stay in the hostel Backaper Hostel was amazing! Fatima - the owner is the most kind person, she was taking care of us like her own children, when it was too much hot outside she was telling us to take breaks from work. The place is peaceful and quiet, if you're looking for some chill between your travels It's the perfect choice. We've met a lot of travelers with interesting stories, had a BBQ nights and even celebrate birthday with one of the volunteers. We had little trouble to get there, because the buses timetables on website is not relatable, so always ask locals!

I had a beautiful stay in the hostel! I was 14 days in the hostel. The place is amazing, surrounded for chickens, plants and flowers. The hosts Fatima and Eduart are kind people. I met a lot of travellers with incredibles stories. For me was a rewarding experience. Hours and tasks agreed upon beforehand were respected and fulfilled. Homemade breakfast was included. Thanks a lot and I hope come again someday!

I was responsible for Social Media which was a nice job, as it's only 2hrs a day and Fatima and her family are really kind. The downside is that at the hostel you don't have a proper work space. I didn't have wifi in my room and you can only sit outside at the tables to connect. Also it gets very cold and dark soon in the evening, the rooms are super cold, there is no heating and sometimes there's no warm water for the shower. The hostel is not clean, the bathroom wasn't cleaned once while I was there (dirty sink etc). There are no lockers or proper space to put away your stuff.
