I had a great time at the hostel :) you get to choose your own schedule after your first week there; every week they host events (movie night, pub crawl, pool, trivia, arts & crafts, dancing etc) and there's always something to do in the city whether you like hiking, drinking, shopping, walking, swimming, etc. i had loads of free time to do what i want & i hung out with a lot of travelers from around the world :) i would go back again

I stayed at the hostel for about a month, and loved it. The Hostel was very clean and workers and volunteers really cared for the building to stay welcoming and accessible to everyone. Everyone is so welcoming and social, the hostel has a family atmosphere and dynamic. After a long day in the center of Edinburgh, it was nice to go to the launge and play card games or watch a movie with everyone! I will definitely come back

I had the best time at HSH! Everyone is really friendly and welcoming. The work is also very easy, it's usually 2h a day so you have a lot of free time to visit Edinburgh. I can only recommend volunteering there. Already looking forward to be back

The best place I have been volunteered I totally recommend that if u want be in the Center of the city close to castle and enjoy all the Scottish accents. The hostel is super cosy and I can tell u everyone I have meet in the place they get a nap at the sofa in the lounge, also a lot of activities in the hostel , people are very nice and helpful. Lovely lovely lovey

I liked HSH, the experience was very good! All the staff and volunteers are really nice and friendly. The shifts are really good, clear and easy, it exists team work. Edinburgh is one of the most beautiful cities I have seen in my life. I recommend this experience to all travellers who are thinking in visiting Scotland.

The team at HSH are amazing - from the beginning I felt welcome and the work system was clearly communicated to me. The work is flexible and not difficult, and it's in an very central location. You're able to meet people who can become lifelong friends, and I couldn't recommend volunteering here more :)

I had the best time at HSH!! Miguel was always helping and making fun with us, I felt very welcomed by him and all the staff and volunteers. There I could make good friends who I'll remember forever! The Hight the hostel is the right place for you if you want to meet new people and feel comfortable, as your home. Everyday there is a activity, so you can interact with the guests, as well. I had a great time volunteering at the hostel. The work was only two hours per day and the tasks aren't difficult so I had a lot of free time to explore Edinburgh and the surroundings. The staff and the other volunteers are very friendly, always open to help you if you need anything. Thanks for the opportunity :)

HSH is the best hostel in the world, I wish I could stay more because there was like home. Volunteers and staff there are amazing people and they always take care of you, always having some plans to do like games, pool tournaments, etc. Also in this hostel you can always talk to people so you can learn better your English and another languages because always there is a lot of people of different places. I love that this place feels like home so I miss them so much ♥️
