We’re seeking a leader who can independently manage projects, from designing to building with precision and respect for the environment. What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Building & Repairing: Help with a wide range of repairs or building.


What you get

3 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Team Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Free Hiking Tours: We’ll take you on excursions and hikes around town. For free!

Free Events: Get free entrance for the best events in town.

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Holistic Therapies: You can take part in any of our therapeutic activities for free.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Fast Internet Access: High-speed internet for you to work remotely

Program Description: Master Carpenter Position

We’re seeking a highly skilled carpenter with expertise in traditional woodworking and log construction to lead meaningful projects in our extraordinary forest near Quebec City. With materials sourced directly from the land—including wood already prepared for construction—your expertise is the missing piece to bring these projects to life.

You’ll have the chance to design and build structures such as camper shelters, sanitation facilities, wood storage sheds, scenic viewpoints, and communal shelters. This role is ideal for someone with a deep understanding of traditional techniques, the ability to work independently, and a passion for craftsmanship that harmonizes with nature.

Depending on your commitment and the duration of your stay, we can provide full, private accommodations to ensure your comfort. In addition, you’ll enjoy meals on workdays and the rare opportunity to work in an extraordinary natural environment, creating lasting, functional spaces for visitors to enjoy. Activities & Shift

Daily Activities Checklist:
- Design and plan structures such as camper shelters, sanitation facilities, wood storage sheds, scenic viewpoints, and communal shelters.
- Use traditional woodworking and log construction techniques to build durable, aesthetic structures.
- Source and prepare materials directly from the forest, as needed.
- Maintain tools and equipment to ensure safe and efficient work.
- Collaborate with the team to align on project priorities and timelines.

Shifts:
Work schedules are flexible and adjusted based on weather conditions to optimize productivity and safety. You would be the project leader and helpers would be assign to help you according to your needs.

Some days may involve longer shifts to take advantage of favorable weather, with additional time off to balance the workload. We value adaptability and a strong work ethic, ensuring both the success of projects and your well-being. This is an opportunity to work creatively in harmony with nature while leaving a meaningful legacy in our forest!
