This volunteer position combines practical web development experience with intensive Spanish language learning in Buenos Aires. The Spanish language classes are intensive and are available at a small cost. Ideal candidates will stay for at least 8 weeks.

Program Details
Web Developer Volunteer - Spanish Language Learning Opportunity (Buenos Aires)
Location: Buenos Aires, Argentina, downtown
Duration: 8 weeks
Time Commitment:
Web Development Position: 22 hours per week (flexible schedule, to be agreed upon with supervisor)
Spanish Classes: 4 hours per day, Monday-Friday (20 hours per week), available at a small cost.
Accommodation: At a French vintage house in downtown Buenos Aires where the language school and other academic programs are held.
Ideal candidates will stay for at least 8 weeks and learn or improve their Spanish skills via our program.

20 hours of intensive Spanish classes per week, focusing on grammar, vocabulary, conversation, and cultural immersion.
Spanish language placement test to determine appropriate level.

Rules
Responsibilities:
Native English speaker.
Front-End Development: Implementing website designs and user interfaces using HTML, CSS, Wordpress and JavaScript.
Back-End Development (if applicable): Assisting with server-side logic, database management, and API integration (depending on skills and project needs).
Website Maintenance: Maintaining and updating existing websites, including bug fixes, performance optimization, and content updates.
Responsive Design: Ensuring websites are responsive and function correctly across different devices (desktops, tablets, and smartphones).
Cross-Browser Compatibility: Testing and ensuring website compatibility across different web browsers.
Version Control (Git): Using Git for code management and collaboration.
Troubleshooting: Identifying and resolving website issues.
Collaboration: Working closely with other team members (if applicable) to deliver projects.Requirements:
Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, Wordpress and JavaScript.
Experience with front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js) is a plus.
Knowledge of back-end technologies (e.g., PHP, Python, Node.js) and databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) is a plus.
Familiarity with version control (Git).
Enthusiasm for learning Spanish and experiencing a new culture.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Valid passport and any necessary visas to enter Argentina as a tourist.
Travel insurance.
Exclusive focus on this position: Volunteers must not have other jobs or major commitments.
