The experience

We’re looking for an artist to help us paint a beautiful jungle mural on the outside of a shipping container that will become our café, a social enterprise established to provide economic empowerment for Our hospitality vocational training graduates. This is the 20 foot container.


What you offer

20 hours of help per week

Arts: Help with painting, graffiti, sculpting or drawing.

Additional fee required

Amount: US$ 7 Per day

Fee pays for: Benefits for travelers and Donation to project

Description: This is a suggested donation that helps to cover the electricity and water usage as well as contribution towards weekday meals of local cuisine


What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Team Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Discounts on Restaurants: Get discounts at nearby restaurants.

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Basic Internet Access: Basic speed internet for you to work remotely


Requirements

Intermediate English or Intermediate Portuguese

Between 18 and 55 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Travel insurance

Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa


Program Details

Our programs run Monday to Friday.


Activities & Shift

Your hours will be between 8 AM and 4 PM Monday to Friday in preparation for the opening of our café. We would love to have our 20 foot shipping container painted into a beautiful jungle mural. This will be the heart of our café with a coffee and food is served from.


Rules

A respect for our work with vulnerable people, and our faith based values is necessary. No drugs, alcohol or cigarettes are permitted.
