Wow, what an experience! This was my first time volunteering through Worldpackers, and I didn't know what to expect. From the start, I was welcomed with so much warmth and immediately felt part of a community, a rare and special feeling. There's a wide variety of activities to get involved in, and I learned so much about climbing, hostels, and Peru. I had the chance to meet so many wonderful Arequipeños, expats, and travelers. Thank you, Rojo and Dom, for your kindness and letting me be a small part of this incredible project. I hope to return one day and see the hostel in full bloom!

I had an great experience at rock climbers hostal, Eduardo is a very gracious and kind host he's also very passionate about rock climbing and teaches you everything about it and gives you a lot of opportunities to practice and learn. Eduardo also speaks perfect Spanish and English making it easy for most travellers to connect with him. He gave me plenty of advice on where to go, what to eat and what to do in Arequipa. You also get your own private room and there is multiple bathrooms in the hostal, with a kitchen. The hours are very easy and flexible too. Muchas gracias Eduardo cuídate🙏🏻🙏🏻🫶🏻

In short, I loved my stay here. The accommodation is private and lovely, hot showers and a fully functioning kitchen. Rojo is calm and open-minded who loves sharing his passion for climbing. The hours are more than reasonable and you have enough time to explore Arequipa. I will miss this place

I stayed a week in the Climbing Hostel and it was an amazing experience. Eduardo is a very kind, easygoing and social person. He took me to all kind of events and introduced me to a lot of his friends who are very welcoming. We went a lot of time climbing (inside and outside), partying & to a bar. My task was to paint some walls which was very chill & fun. The place to stay is also very comfortable and i had my own room and bathroom. I would recommend this place for 100%! Thankyou for the great time!

I cannot recommend this experience enough, especially if you enjoy sports, the outdoors and meeting some amazing new people. the location is amazing, very central and close to a lot of shops and restaurants, rojo is an amazing host and really cares about the volunteers and tried to make them feel the most welcome, and the work is as described and very easy. i instantly felt very welcomed and at home, i wish i stayed longer - thank you for everything.

De las mejor experiencias que he tenido hasta ahora. Si te gusta escalar o simplemente quieres mejorar como escalador/a te recomiendo mucho este voluntariado. Tube la suerte de estar 4 semanas rodeada de la mejor manera posible. Ya lo extraño! Gracias rojo por la confianza y todos los momentos.

Estamos muy agradecidas de haber podido hacer el voluntariado con él. Nos ha acogido en todas sus actividades y nos ha permitido disfrutar mucho de Arequipa y de su gente. Volveríamos sin dudar!
