The experience

I short-term rent 2 rooms of my 3 bedroom house, which is a stylish 3-bedroom townhouse in North Wollongong : a popular beach-side inner-city suburb.
The house is a couple of blocks from North Beach, the free bus and the station, and about 20 minutes' walk to the CBD.
I'm going on holiday and somebody is needed there while I'm away.

What you offer

8 hours of help per week

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

Housekeeping: Help with changing the bed linens and general housekeeping.

What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Fast Internet Access: High-speed internet for you to work remotely

Program Details

You will stay in a large private room with a balcony, and a shared bathroom.
When a guest leaves, the bed needs to be made. There are often periods of several days with no checkouts: all that is needed on those days is a quick bathroom clean and once over with the vacuum : usually less than 20 minutes work.

Guests self-check in. You don't have to be there for their arrival. Once the rooms are made up you are free to spend the day any way you like - eg at the beach or sight-seeing.

Breakfast is toast and cereal, and I will also pay $20/day

Activities & Shift

When a guest checks out:
- Make the bed;
- Vacuum;
- Wash the sheets and towels;
Other light housework:
- Keep the shared bathroom clean;
- Vacuum as required;
- miscellaneous tasks such as clearing the dishwasher and buying fresh milk may or may not be required.

Rules

Guests can check out on any day, including weekends; so your schedule has to be flexible to accommodate this. Your days off will be days where no guest is checking out.
BUT there would rarely be more than an hour's work on any day, so most of your time will be your own. There's no requirement to be at the house at any time, except to make up the rooms when needed.

Just a few basic rules - no smoking or vaping anywhere on the property please; no illegal activity;
Up to 4 visitors is ok every now and then, but no parties; house quiet hours are between 11pm and 7am
